Cornell University, USA

My background is in plant and animal breeding with a focus on advanced modelling and computational science for improving the efficiency of breeding programs and increasing understanding of complex traits.

My lab conducts research to develop and implement advanced modelling and informatics capabilities to improve decision making and understanding of complex traits. Currently, the lab is focused on bioenergy, genomic selection, phenomics, and increasing understanding of genotype by environmental interactions. My lab works with multiple crops and research is conducted in collaboration with breeding programs in the United States, Africa, and Asia.

My lab is involved in multiple collaborations with international breeding programs. Currently, we are working with the CGIAR (a global research partnership for a food secure future dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources) to improve the effectiveness of breeding programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
